About LYT
- LYT was established in 1987. It is run by professional
theatre practitioners with the aim of creating high
quality work with young people, and that the experience
should be open to all.
- We have rapidly gained a reputation for producing
challenging and innovative work to a professional
standard.
- The demand for our work has led us to develop a
vibrant range of theatre activities for children,
young people and their families.
- Our programme now includes drama workshops, education
outreach and Saturday morning children’s theatre
as well as continuing our core youth theatre productions.

- The youth theatre and workshops are free to those
that take part. From our base at the Broadway Theatre
we provide a thriving centre where young people of
all ages participate in theatre at every level.
- At the heart of every project remains our belief
that theatre is for everyone and we continue to target
and successfully attract those who might otherwise
be excluded.
