TECHNICAL THEATRE TUTORS
Do you have specialism in backstage or technical theatre roles and experience in working with young people in these areas?
LYT’s long-standing Technical Theatre programme helps young people aged 11-17 learn what goes on behind the scenes through projects that help them gain practical skills in lighting, sound, set design, costumes, make-up, props and stage management.
We are seeking technical/backstage theatre specialists to join our freelance tutor pool to help deliver training in backstage and technical theatre skills with young people aged 11-17. Technical Theatre Tutors will help to plan, deliver and evaluate the Technical Theatre training programme, alongside the Programmes Manager. You will have a passion for supporting young people’s development and for broadening their knowledge about roles in backstage theatre arts.
We particularly encourage candidates with lived experience of the needs of our participants, including those from Global Majority backgrounds.
