Junior Youth Theatre 1 Workshop Group
From January 2021, learn more about the world of theatre with this short, fun project.
If you want to discover more about acting, meet new people and try out new ways of creating theatre, then the workshop group is for you. Through attending the weekly workshops, and having the opportunity to see a theatrical production, you will develop your acting skills, teamwork, and creativity.
Workshops include warm-ups, drama games, and fun acting exercises.
Sessions will take place:
January – February 2021
Days, times and location TBC
Sessions will take place socially distanced in-person and/or on Zoom
Junior Youth Theatre 1 Performance Groups
JYT1 Performance groups run weekly sessions from February to May
We use games, warm-ups and drama exercises to enable everyone to take part. The sessions focus on team building, giving everyone a voice and a chance to take part creatively. This project leads to a final performance in a theatre.
Each group is led by two experienced theatre workshop tutors and a team of volunteer assistants to rehearse and perform a production with full set, props and costumes in the Studio at the Broadway Theatre, Catford.
Sessions will take place:
February – May 2021
Tuesdays OR Saturdays
Sessions will take place in-person and/or on Zoom

How do I take part?
To take part in Junior Youth Theatre 1 you need to:
- Be aged between 8-11 and be keen to take part
- Live or learn in the London Borough of Lewisham
- Attend no other after school drama group
- Priority is given to those who attend state/free schools, academies or home schooling
