My Life Now
In 2008, LYT created ‘MyLife’. We worked with ‘Lightwork’, a research theatre company from Central School of Speech & Drama. The young people created a piece of theatre about their lives at that moment. We used multi-media, verbatim and movement to explore their lives.
Fast forward fifteen years and we have created ‘MyLife Now’ – a snap shot of our members lives today. Inspired by the 2008 performance, today’s young actors share their lives with you, their hope, dreams and values.
My Life Now was an immersive, interactive performance which took place at LYT’s creative Hub in July 2023. It was devised by the young artists with support from their directors Angus Scott-Miller, Julia Couto and Lakeisha Lynch-Stevens and graduate creatives Dean Coffey and Monique Walker. It was produced by Helen Stanley and designed by Delyth Evans. Production Management by Anna Smith, Stage Management by Abbie Belsham and Pierce Duncan and technical support by LYT’s young technical team.
